Vampire Barbie

my family moved around a lot when I was a kid, so I never had time to make lasting friends.  But Barbie was always there, with my first one when I was five.  On our moving trip across the country to California, my mother had sewed clothes for her. And Halloween is the best, so a vampire barbie was a natural.

Each one of these whimsical pins and earrings are hand-painted by me, Robin Senour, so there are no two alike.

For me, art is communication. I created this little work of art, but the conversation between artist and viewer is complete when someone owns it.

The clear material I chose to paint on is durable and easy to bend to my will.

I have my very own laser that gives me the freedom to create any shape that I can think of.

I love color. Finding wonderful color combinations drives me from one piece to the next. I paint them until they say, “I’m done!”
