After the show in March at Fort Mason in San Francisco, I knew I was in for a long manufacturing period, as I had done the dog show and the yarn show. And i wanted to use my awesome new laser to cut some new designs. Soooo i painted for half the month, and then did all the production for the last half. I have over a hundred new pieces to tempt you all with! Here’s some earrings at different stages of production.

Hi guys! well Ima tryin’ to get better at this…. I am bringing my work to The Emery Bay Public Market Firehouse Collective Show and Sell Spot on saturdays, and you all are invited to come find me there. I will be there this Saturday, April 21st. for the last time this month, and then I will pick it up in May after my sojourn down to Socal to do a couple of shows down there. Last Saturday, April 14th, there was a birthday party for the Firehouse Collective’s own Executive Director Tom Franco, and one of his gifts was a Sacred Laughter pin! It’s the chimera; my version of an ancient mythological creature. The creature is part lioness, part goat and part snake and breathes fire! The word chimera is used now to describe a bringing together of disparate ideas that work together to create something new. That’s sort of what the Show and Sell Spot is:) Julia is wearing a pair of crown earrings from the Sacred Laughter Gold Collection and they feature 18 karat gold ear wires and aquamarine beads. Don’t they look great!

My big news is I now have my own laser. My wonderful dad gave me one, and I am now in control of cutting my shapes! It’s going to change the way I think about my inventory, and it will take a few months to see how it will change what my process. This month I am in production for my southern california shows (see under show schedule) where some new work will be debuted. I am trying hard to keep things on the Etsy site new and exciting, so check that out as well.

They are going by faster and faster! I can’t believe it’s already 2012. I have updated my show schedule, and it is my goal to post here much more! Big News this year is I will be cutting my own shapes! Very exciting. More about that later, The lasercutter arrives at the end of January!

My friend Michelle and I started having art nights during the late summer, so there are many more paintings I will be showing in the coming months. I hope to have some notecards and prints available as well. Here’s my favorite of the bunch. I’ve got some thing about birds….
