Bring more art into your life
Picasso said “art removes the dust of everyday life.” When I am in the midst of painting, I am having the best time mixing and combining colors, making the composition work, and working until, and this is hard to describe in words, the piece “tells” me it is done. I love to create and that ends up in each piece I make.
Infinity, in terms of the universe, has never been something i could wrap my mind around. But after twenty years of painting the pins and earrings, and finding it harder to paint two alike than two different, I understand and grasp one kind of infinite: the human imagination.
I love how color can make us feel. I love the colors of yarns, nature, clothes and of course paint. Here’s what Johannes Itten said about color, “Yet the deepest and truest secrets of color effect are, I know, invisible even to the eye, and are beheld by the heart alone.”
Bring more art into you life. Clear away the dust in your head and contemplate a work of art.
